SVH strengthens hospitality education with interactive 3D learning tools

SVH is the leading knowledge and examination institute for the hospitality industry. Together with educational institutions and the business community, SVH develops (digital) learning tools and teaching methods for secondary vocational education, trainers, and hospitality entrepreneurs, with the goal of increasing professional competence in the sector.

The challenge
SVH's existing e-learning already provided a solid foundation for knowledge transfer. At the same time, SVH saw plenty of opportunities to further enrich the learning process with more interaction and visual depth. Especially when it comes to recognizing and comparing products and processes, there was a desire to better prepare students for real-world practice.
This enrichment had to fit seamlessly within the existing e-learning setup. It was important that new learning tools would be easy to implement, without changes to structure or technology, while maintaining accessibility and scalability.

Our solution
SVH enriches its existing e-learning with interactive 3D learning tools, which are deployed as a supplement within the current learning environment. The structure of the e-learning remains unchanged, while teachers and students gain access to additional interactive assignments.
Modules such as fruits, vegetables & potatoes (AGF), meat & fish, grains & dairy, kitchen utensils, and the brewery help students recognize and compare products and processes. The content can be used independently and aligns with how the younger generation absorbs information.
For SVH, this means a substantive deepening of the e-learning offering, without compromising scalability or further development. New modules can be added step by step, while students better prepare for both practical lessons and exams.

"The 3D learning tools make it possible to visually illustrate theory and contribute to higher learning outcomes."
