VanDrie Group digitalises the cuts book with the MetaChef 3D Catalogue
VanDrie is an internationally operating Dutch family business with locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, and Germany. The company is the global market leader in veal, calf feed, and calfskins, and distinguishes itself as a complete chain producer.
The challenge
VanDrie worked with a physical and digital cuts book to record the names of veal cuts. In practice, the physical book quickly became outdated and the digital version was due for renewal.
Due to the international nature of the market, it remained difficult to name and explain veal cuts in the same way everywhere. VanDrie therefore sought a contemporary and visual way to provide unambiguous insight into the various veal cuts worldwide.
Our solution
Since implementing the MetaChef 3D Catalogue, VanDrie has a digital and interactive cuts book. All veal cuts are clearly compiled and presented with detailed 3D models, which users can view from all angles.
Each cut is linked to a fixed name and unique code, ensuring unambiguous communication. Via the Vealcuts App, customers have easy access to this digital cuts book and thus to one up-to-date and consistent overview of VanDrie's assortment.
The same 3D models are also used in the 3D Configurator for assembling and visualising veal cuts with packaging.
