Faster and more consistent images at Van der Meulen

Van der Meulen is a Frisian baking family that has been making high-quality bakery products for four generations. With a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship, they produce rusks, Melba Toast, and rye bread, among other things, for the Dutch market.

The challenge
Van der Meulen increasingly received requests from the market to adapt visual content, such as packshots and HERO images, tailored to specific channels and retailers. In practice, it took a lot of time to manually modify these visuals and redistribute them.
Because there was no centralized workflow, it became difficult to respond quickly while maintaining brand consistency. Van der Meulen therefore sought an efficient way to flexibly adapt visual content and share it in a controlled manner with various parties.
Our solution
Using MetaChef's 3D Content Creator, Van der Meulen generates packshots and other visuals entirely from 3D models. From a single digital 3D model, images can be quickly adapted for different channels and retailers, making visuals available even before the physical product exists.
All 3D models are centrally managed in the MetaChef 3D Catalog. The same models are also used on Van der Meulen's website, where products are presented interactively.

“The transition to digital packshot creation offers us the flexibility to meet the ever-changing demands of retailers.”
