ETC strengthens onboarding and safety with interactive 3D work instructions
ETC is an international high-tech company that develops advanced centrifuge technology for nuclear enrichment processes and is known for its focus on innovation and safety.
The challenge
New employees at ETC receive, after the onboarding, explanation of department-specific work procedures and safety agreements. This explanation takes place primarily verbally and through textual documentation.
With complex processes and less visible aspects, such as gases, magnetic fields, and access conditions, it is difficult to quickly gain a good overview. Especially because processes differ per department and many new employees are joining, the need arose for clear visual support.
Our solution
ETC works with interactive 3D work instructions from MetaChef, based on 3D models of their own production environment. Employees and visitors thus receive a visual introduction to the work environment and the key safety agreements.
A central component is the interactive 3D floor plan, in which departments, access levels, and conditions are clearly displayed. Additionally, the 3D work instructions make less visible aspects understandable, so that instructions are quicker to comprehend and easier to apply in practice.
