Clear 3D work instructions for sauce dispensers at Oliehoorn
Oliehoorn is a Dutch family business known for its delicious sauces. From fry sauce to curry, mayonnaise, and ketchup, Oliehoorn has been bringing flavor to eating moments for decades.
The challenge
Disassembling, cleaning, and assembling sauce dispensers is a daily task in the hospitality industry, carried out by various employees. This requires clear and unambiguous work instructions that can be correctly followed in every situation.
Oliehoorn supports customers with instructional videos, but in practice these did not always adequately align with use on the work floor. This led to three recurring issues: complex processes and less visible aspects, such as gases, magnetic fields, and access conditions, make it difficult to quickly get a good overview. Especially because processes differ per department and many new employees join, there was a need for clear visual support.

Oliehoorn therefore faced the challenge of providing work instructions that are more practical, up-to-date, and immediately usable on the work floor, so that employees can work independently and consistently.
Our solution
Oliehoorn has replaced the existing instructional videos with interactive 3D work instructions for five sauce dispensers. Via a QR code on the dispensers, customers get immediate access to the right instruction on their phone, at the moment they need it.
The 3D work instructions guide users step by step through disassembling, cleaning, and assembling the dispensers. Common errors are included, so users are specifically and correctly supported while carrying out the work.
Adjustments and updates can be made centrally and remotely. This way, Oliehoorn always has up-to-date and consistent work instructions, while customers can work independently and efficiently on the work floor.
