The challenge

The challenge

At the end of the production line, employees check whether products meet quality requirements. Due to the regular addition of new products and variants, it became more difficult to carry out these checks consistently.

Especially new employees and colleagues from other countries had difficulty properly assessing what was and was not acceptable. Language barriers played a role in this. The existing paper work instructions provided insufficient support and did not give a realistic picture of the product. Details such as shape, height, filling, and topping are difficult to assess based on flat images

The solution

The solution

Europastry uses interactive 3D work instructions from MetaChef, developed using custom 3D models of the products. Employees see exactly what a product should look like and which variants should be rejected.

The work instructions include good and bad examples, including common deviations such as incorrect shapes, insufficient toppings, irregular heights, or incorrect filling. Products can be viewed from all sides, providing a realistic reference image.

The 3D work instructions are visual, interactive, and language-independent. This makes them well-suited for international teams and supports consistent and accurate quality control.
