MetaChef was present at the successful Techniek Tastbaar event in Rijssen-Holten, where more than thousands of students from the region were introduced to engineering and technology. The hands-on experience festival, organised by STO Twente and partners at the Kampus in Rijssen, brought technology literally and interactively closer for primary school and secondary school students.
During the event, MetaChef's specialists introduced students to realistic 3D production environments. They could watch the production process of a chips factory on a large screen and walk through a simulated cheese factory in 3D themselves using VR glasses. The experiences are designed to show future technicians what technical professions and processes look like and what their work could be in practice.
"During Techniek Tastbaar, we let the students interactively observe technical production processes and they could experience in 3D what it is like to walk around in a factory, even though they are still young. It is inspiring to see how curious they are about technology."
